Beta Update September #1 - Seaplane GPT

We're back with another update from the Flight deck. This one will be short and sweet because we've been knee-deep in the trenches, working hand-in-hand with our customers to build cool solutions using our platform. Which for now, we can’t share yet with the wider world.

Seaplane GPT

If you've been following us on LinkedIn, you might have noticed us complaining about all the posts hyping language models, but often without any real-world use cases. Well, guess what? We've put our money where our mouth is and created something cool – Seaplane GPT!

This demo shows you what's possible when you combine Seaplane, OpenAI, and Streamlit. To help others get started, we will soon make this project open-source available in our demo repository on Github - Put a ⭐️ on it now to stay in the loop.

You can try the demo for yourself here!

New Podcast Alert: Scaling Data Science Teams

We're super excited to announce the latest episode of our podcast. This time, we had the pleasure of chatting with Kathy Copic, a Partner at Fieldwork Partners, who spilled the beans on the art of hiring and scaling data science teams. Kathy's been around the block, with a stint as VP of Growth at Insight Data Science. Trust us; you don't want to miss this one! Tune in on Spotify or wherever you fancy getting your podcasts.

Model Survey Results: LLama2 Takes the Win

Remember when we asked you to vote on the next LLM to join the Seaplane family? Well, the results are in, and it's a landslide victory for LLama2, with a whopping 91% of your votes. We're already creating plans for the implementation, and you'll soon see LLama2 and some other foundational models inside the Seaplane platform.

Your support keeps us going, and we love hearing from you. So, drop us a line anytime if you've got questions or ideas, or book some time on our calendar to chat!
